Ingredients

All shampoo & body bars are vegan & have a base of distilled water, saponified olive oil, coconut oil, shea butter, and castor oil. 

Saponified means that the oils have been through a saponification process of being mixed with lye or caustic soda. at a certain temperature and the chemical reaction to make natural soap.

Plain & Simple

Has no colour or scent. It is just the base ingredients of distilled water, saponified coconut oil, olive oil, shea butter, castor oil.

Coconut oil

Coconut oil helps the skin and the hair. The properties of the coconut oil also help remove dead skin cells and dirt away from the body. The oil also help prevent or reduce acne. It also helps firm up your skin helps you look younger as the soap is rich in antioxidants.

Olive oil

Olive Oil is used in most cold process soaps because of its deeply moisturizing and nourishing properties. It is a suitable natural body wash for those with sensitive or dry skin as it has a lower pH than most 'mainstream' soaps that can be made from foaming agents (SLS), petroleum oil or animal fats which can be drying and irritate the skin.

Shea Butter

Shea Butter moisturizes pores without clogging them. Includes Vitamin A which helps rebuild the cells. Includes Vitamin E which is an antioxidant.

Bergamot Essential Oil

Bergamot has citrus notes and is used in Earl Grey tea. It is said that "Bergamot Oil can also be applied on the scalp to revive the hair bulbs and encourage hair growth. Bergamot's natural stimulants direct blood flow to the scalp, ensuring proper delivery of oxygen and nutrients to the hair follicles."

Black Walnut Hull

Black Walnut Hull: Is considered a bi-product of the walnut fruit processing and is used as a natural dye in soaps and natural material. It's a natural antioxidant used in traditional medicine for the treatment of skin diseases and the alleviation of the pain. It also has been scientifically tested for anti-radical activity, antimicrobial, and anti-fungal activities.

It's also known for treating skin conditions such as dermatitis, acne, or dry, cracked skin, enhances collagen production and lessens wrinkle formation. The scent of the essential oil provides feelings of relaxation and help to ease stress or anxiety. As a shampoo bar it helps with oily hair or dandruff. Studies have shown it has anti-fungal properties.

Peppermint

Peppermint essential oil: is extracted from the leaves of the peppermint plant. It gives relief from itchy skin and has been found to encourage and stimulate hair growth after four weeks of treatment. It has mild antimicrobial and antifungal properties.

Spirulina has high nutritional values due to its content in proteins, essential amino acids, minerals, essential fatty acids, vitamins, liposoluble antioxidants (vitamin E and carotenoids) and antimicrobial against candida of the skin. It has high linoleic acid which is known to reduce inflammation and beneficial for folks with eczema, psoriasis and acne.


There is more research on taking spirulina internally (encourages probiotic and beneficial bacterial growth. removal of toxicants such as heavy metals, can increase hemoglobin content and improve cases of anemia).

Tea tree essential oil: Tea tree oil comes from the leaves of Melaleuca alternifolia, a small tree native to Queensland and New South Wales, Australia

Studies have shown that it kills several common bacteria and viruses responsible for causing illness, including E. coli, S. pneumoniae and H. influenzae ().

Tea tree essential oil is also used as an Insect repellent, and can be used to treat and disinfect minor cuts and abrasions by killing S. aureus and other bacteria that can cause infection in open wounds.

Several studies have shown that it helps reduce the amount and overall severity of acne.

Tea tree oil may help relieve inflamed skin and dermatitis Tea tree oil contains anti-inflammatory compounds, which, according to emerging evidence, may be helpful for easing psoriasis symptoms.

Helps with dandruff. In a four-week study, the group who used a shampoo containing tea tree oil had a 40% improvement in dandruff. Moreover, the tea tree group reported significant improvements in dandruff severity, itchiness and greasiness.

Turmeric

Turmeric: Turmeric is a product of Curcuma longa, a rhizomatous herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the ginger family Zingiberaceae, which is native to tropical South Asia.

Turmeric contains antioxidants and anti-inflammatory components. These characteristics may provide glow and luster to the skin. Turmeric may also revive your skin by bringing out its natural glow.

The curcumin found in turmeric can help wounds heal by decreasing inflammation and oxidation. It also lowers the response of your body to cutaneous wounds. This results in your wounds healing more quickly.

Studies have found that turmeric can positively affect tissue and collagen as well. The journal Life Sciences recommends applying curcumin as an optimized formula to best work on skin wounds.

The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory qualities of turmeric may help your psoriasis by controlling flares and other symptoms.
